On Tuesday, 03 December 2019, I was privileged to meet with Professor Patrick L. Lumumba, founder, PLO Lumumba Foundation, a powerful speaker, staunch Pan-Africanist, former director of Kenyan anti corruption commission and former director of the Kenyan School of Law.

Our discussions centered on The People’s Project, (TPP), solving the African problem with African solutions, religion and development, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, African culture and democracy, peaceful sources of political influence in a democratic politics and the power of technology over the gun in today’s African politics.

I want to say a very big thank you to Pro. Lumumba for granting me audience. It Was a very fruitful discussion and I hope to maintain this impactful relationship with him and the other Pan-Africanist for the collective good of Ghana and the African continent at large.

breakline
Abraham Lincoln is credited for stating that, democracy is a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.” The importance of democracy, the institutionalization of the various forms of freedoms, rest on the people of any country. The people define, shape and drive a democracy but in Ghana and most parts of Africa, the people are taken for granted, given no voice and their plights linger on—from one corner to the other.
